More or less formed in 2012, Hounds of Innsmouth started the long journey of becoming your dad’s favorite metal band he’s never heard of. While Death-Grind is the closest thing to a genre the band will admit to being called, each member of the group has their own set of influences that drastically affects the sound of HOI. From prog, to grindcore, to death, to melodic black, to djent, there’s no sub-genre of metal that hasn’t had an impact on how the Hounds pick their sound. After more than 5 years of making demos of their songs, they’ve finally hit the studio to produce their first album, which should become publicly available soon.
